Brief:

Welwitchia has never had a marketing department, which means no strategy was ever put in place. Graphic designers and printing were the ones consulted if a need a raised for designing and the printing of brochures, posters, pull up banners, letterheads, etc. This is first time that there is a person appointed to come up with strategies, policies, procedures and branding manual. 

Welwitchia University “Where everyone is an achiever”, is a private institute for higher learning in Namibia with a special focus on health, social and management sciences. 
Professional women founded Welwitchia University with a keen interest in empowering the previously disadvantaged communities; with its key focus of the university work has made teaching and learning its apex priority. 
The university opened its doors to students in September 2013 and continues to complement government’s efforts in addressing skills shortage both in Namibia and beyond. 

It has placed teaching and learning; research and development; innovation and technology solutions; industry and community service; continuous professional development; and training and capacity development. 
With university courses varying from Nursing, Education, Business disciplines, Agriculture, Engineering, Bridging school and tourism; Welwitchia aspires to attract top students and to provide a globally recognized and safe environment of its students where they will be equipped to add value to society. 

The plan is to start with revamping the logo by giving it a fresh, futuristic and catchier feel to it. The colors need to be professional, consistent and uniform. The example of Unam and Nust are very good one, we want to get to a branding level which they are at. 
Branded material list includes business cards, brochures, posters, pull-up banners, t-shirts/uniform, name tags, social media, stationary, calendars, website cars, agricultural packaging, etc.
